We got up late, so Mr Badger said we should all go to the Brighton Sealife Centre. Mom and I jumped into the tiny car of Mr Badger and off we drove to the sunny seaside town of Brighton.
When we arrived we had lunch, I had a vegetarian breakfast, and then we went to the Sealife Centre. The Sealife Centre is a very old underground sea aquarium. Mr Badger said it was over 100 years old! In there we looked at Turtles, Pollock, Moray Eels ( they have very sharp teeth like a Badger ), Dogfish, and Catfish (they looked like chubby sausages with tiny eyes and droopy whiskers ) and something called a Mantis Shrimp who was kept all alone because he was visciuous and like punch other fish.
They also had a amazon rainforest like the wax museum in Newport, Oregon. It was a confusing because to make it look bigger they used lots of mirrors which confused people ( but not the Badger ).
We went on to the wait tank the had a theatre and a huge pool which had giant turtles, fish , and different colored big sharks. There was a transparant underground tunnel where we could look up at the fish. We saw exhibits of an Octopuses Beak, seasnakes and mommy was admiring a 'splendid eel' and a color changing cuttlefish who was very poisonous.
Outside the main aquarium I played on a slide with my cousin Henry.
I then bought a sealife centre badge with a seal on it.
And Mr Badger bought an ice cream with 'badger ears' which are two chocolate sticks, although Henry did steal one.
We ended the day by having scones, clotted cream, jam and a big pot of team.

There were alot of ducks in the moat (water around a house so people can't get into the house). The toliet was square piece of wood with a hole in it into the outside it looked like a mine. They had a knot garden and there waere alot of sheep around the moat. There were baby ducks and we went on a tour that was no fun because she talked too fast and we spent really long in each room.

Blue bell woods and horses
The bluebell woods were very pretty and the paths were very very short, like from the monkey bars on our playground to the rock wall, there were lots of paths. My favorate part was the horses, there was a black and brown one, two white ones and a black and white one and a black one. I got to pet them and \i petted the white one because the brown and white one was trying to nip people and the other horses becuause he wanted attention, I fed him grass then we had some cake and tea and juice.
Steam Train Ride
We went on a steam train ride with Gabriel my little cousin and Phil my moms brother, we sat in the caboose like the one they rode in on Harry Potter, there were alot of cabooses to sit in, it took an hour.
The Chestnut Otter Sanctuary
Today we went to the Otter Chestnut Sanctuary, we saw many animals like otters owls foxes, wild cats and guiney pigs. There were also deer and you walked though this huge field and you could walk around with them, I saw a herd of them sitting around and then standing. The foxes and the guiney pigs were my favorite even though I have a guiney pigm, then we went to Matlock to have a snack and when we were walking back to the car I saw a water vole, he was very cute like a little brown mouse with a short tail, he was on the river bank, then he jumped into the water and started swimming away, and in a few minutes he was out of sight.

Derby museum
At Derby museum I saw a real mummy that was out of it's coffin, it still had teeth, it's finger nails were long, you could see hair on it's head a little bit, it was amazing but gave me the chills. They also had a mummy cat from egypt and you could see a little bit of its head, it died because they snapped its neck wrapped it up and put it in a tiney coffin with some things because they thought it would be nicer on the other side with the living dead, they were a little bit crazy though. They had tons of stuff, an art room with famous paintings and a viking long boat that they found that took up the whole of the room made of a tree trunk they hollowed out. There was an army room that they had army stuff in, there was a statue of a horse. There was a dinosaur bone in a room and I went in a time tunnel and they had examples behind glass of Derby millions of years ago, how it looked from under water to the dinosaurs to today, anyways Derby is a city. They have one exhibit where there are animals who died and got stuffed, moths and big silver bolts where you looked through and pushed a button and it lit up and inside there were exhibits. There were live stick insects too.
Derbyshire Dales
Yesterday we went to the Derbyshire Dales, we went to Bakewell and we went to a bakery and a toy shop and a doll shop. We went out for lunch and saw some nice country side we went through a park and it said sheep crossing, in England in some places they don't have fences and the sheep and cows can go where ever they want.

Sudbury Hall museum of childhood
Today we visted Sudbury Hall museum of childhood, there were lots of toys children used to play with, and about childrens lives. There were old toys and clothes and bedrooms. Every room had a little hole where just children could see, there were little mice inside themed to each room. it was fun to figure out where the hole was. There was a chimney where you could climb in and it was pitch black I was feeling around and there was a box I climbed onto and then I found another hole and it was as small as a small picture frame, I squeezed through into a tunnel and there was a small ramp it was made for children so you had to squeeze. In the old days children had to go through real chimneys with a bucket of water and brushes to clean them, they were even smaller. One of the other child labour work was to work in mines and pull wagons of coal. Some children had to clean clothes. When we walked in there were bedrooms on the ceiling showing bedsrooms from different times.
Visiting Granny M
Granny M is 103 years old, we went to visit her, she wanted to go home but she is already at home. When we left she sang happy days are here again, a few years ago we sent her a plush cat she thinks it's real, it's name is douglas and she cuddles it alot. I think the lady who was caring for her was kind of rude to her.

Hampton Court
Hampton Court was the home of Henry the eighth who was king of England over 400 years ago! I met King Henry the eigth, and my cousin is King Henry the ninth, (the king at Hampton Court was really an actor but he seemed like the king). We went through a mazer but it was easy, we went in the "Woolsey closet ghost dog room" and went around the gardens where we saw some ducks, a swan and a wierd looking goose duck. We also saw some deer, the garden is 720 arces. We went into the knot garden and there was a big tunnel with vines on it which was about 120 yards. There was a grape vine that is in the Guinness book of records, its the oldest vine in the world and is over 200 years old, thats 100 years older than my house wow! it was huge and you could walk in this huge glass room and it was in there, it took up the whole room and was over the cieling, there were ladders to reach the top. We only got through a small section of Hampton court as it is so big, next time we come to England we will try and finish getting around.
